Over 7 Months Azerbaijan`s GDP Increased on 35,1 Per Cent

Over the period of January-July 2006, the Gross Domestic Product of Azerbaijan had increased on 35, 1 per cent in comparison with the analogical period of the last year. According to the State Statistics Committee, the index of GDP in then-current dollars to August 1, 2006 makes 8803,5 m. manats, Trend reports. The volume of GDP per a capita had increased on 33,6 per cent, and makes up 1,055, 6 AZN ( $1165,9) per capita. The share of production in GDP of the country had increased on 49,1 per cent (6113,3 m. manats). In the sphere of services the extra cost had increased on 10,2 per cent in comparison with the analogical period of the last year, but its weight in GDP decreased from 28,1 per cent to 23, 3 per cent.

The mere taxes from production and the import make up 7, 3 per cent of GDP. Over this period the industrial output makes up 55,6 per cent (4,891, 9 m. manats) out of the total GDP, the agriculture, hunting sector, and forestry had produced extra cost at the rate of 451, 5 m. manats (5,1 per cent), the construction sector - 769,9 m. manats (8,7 per cent), the transportation sector 462,4 m. manats (5,3 per cent), the telecommunication sector 197, 3 m. manats (2,2 per cent), the wholesale and retail trade, the car sphere, and the personal services 543,4 m. manats (6,9 per cent), the restaurant and hotel sphere 62,7 m. manats (0,7 per cent), the rendering of social and other services - 781,7 m. manats (8,9 per cent).
