State Privatization Committee Transferred $1.8m AZN to State Budget

Over the period January-July 2006, the State Privatization Committee had transferred $1,8m AZN to the State Budget. According to the State Committee, the forecast was fulfilled on 128 per cent, Trend reports.

The State Privatisation Committee also carried out works on efficient use of non-residential lots being leased, fulfillment of real agreement, as well as eliciting of points illegally being seized. With this purpose, the special commission has elicited 100 establishments of which data has been submitted to the register of the State Privatization Committee have been kept from dislocation.

Over this period suits against more than 500 enterprises and establishments had been brought because of real agreement default. Follow-up (warning) letters had been sent to over 1,000 leasers.

As a result of the works being carried out, about 3,200 valid agreements have been signed since the beginning of the year.

Moreover, over this period the number of small-scale enterprises and establishments being privatised has gone up to 2,000.
