A Next Monitoring on Preventing Bird Flue to Penetrate into Azerbaijan is Under Preparation

A next monitoring aimed at preventing penetration of bird flue to the territory of the country is expected to be held soon. According to the State Veterinary Service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the monitoring is expected to begin on October 25 and will last for a week, Trend reports.

The monitoring, will be held by a commission of specialists from the Health Ministry, Ecology and Natural Resources Ministry of the Country, as well as the Hunters Association, Zoology Institute, and the corresponding State Service.

Last time the analogous action was held at the end of September, 2006. The results of that monitoring did not show any presence of this disease on the territory of the country. The expert examination was conducted on the basis of a pathological material and blood test of 43 carcasses of wild birds living on the territory of the country and 3,374 individual birds taken from different poultry and private farms.

No facts of bird death revealed on the territory of the Absheron Peninsula, the National Parks Shirvan and Aghgol, as well as in the State Reserve Gizilaghadj.

The forthcoming monitoring will be held on the same territories.
