On October 27, in the first half of the day, the delivery of the electricity necessary for Baku Metro JSC was stopped and this caused the temporary stoppage of the movement of the trains. Within 33 minutes, the Metro could restore the movement of the trains at the expense of the internal sources of the Metro, the Head Engineer of the Metro Elbrus Muradov told Trend.
He stressed that the electricity delivery was stopped due to the heavy rains in the first half of the day. The employees of the Metro could take out all of the passengers and no-one was damaged, he added.
The Head Engineer underlined that the activity of the Metro has been restored fully. According to him, Baku Metro is ready for such emergency situations.
