(autoinsidernews) - Audi's MINI challenger, the Audi A1, has been confirmed by the automaker for a 2009 launch. In an interview with German newspaper Der Spiegel, Ralph Weyler, Audi Head of Marketing and Sales, confirmed that the automaker is working on the A1, reports Trend.
Audi has been interested in extending its model line with a new entry-level model. The new sporty, entry model is said to be in development with SEAT, another VW subsidiary, and will be based on components from the previous Golf and current Polo.
