The 2007 budget differs with qualitative changes. It is planned to allocate AZN 7 mln to provide school supplies, the Head of the Science and Education Department of the Finance Ministry of Azerbaijan, Khagani Rzayev, stated during discussions on the bill On 2007 state budget at the Permanent Commission of the Azerbaijani Ministry, Trend reports.
According to him, in 2007 the budget for education will amount to AZN 776 mln, an increase of AZN 249 mln (47%) from last year.
According to the order of the Azerbaijani President, it is planned to allocate AZN 8 mln, 500,000 for the construction of new school buildings, capital repair and new equipment for schools. AZN 10.5 mln has been allocated for the capital repair of schools and AZN 2.7 mln for the development of programs for children with bad health. In addition, administrative expenditures have been reduced.
