IDB Granted Approximately $90mln. to Azerbaijani Companies

A decision on granting about $90 mln. in credit to private Azerbaijani companies was taken in result of the international investment conference held in Baku under the assistance of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), Heydar Bababyev, Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister said at the end of the conference, Trend reports.

According to him, the Banks has already granted a credit at $36 mln ATA Holding, $10 mln. - to Ganja company Billur to acquire new equipment and carry out reconstruction works, $25 mln. - to Nachchivan Republic's Intercontinental Company, to purchase construction materials, $6,5 mln. to Said Company to cultivate plants in Shaki and Massali regions of Azerbaijan, etc.

The Azerbaijani minister pointed out that in result of the negotiations held between the Bank and Azerenerji JSC in Baku, a credit worth $85 mln. was granted to the Company, to carry out works on two hydro electric power plants in the country.

A decision that a mission of IDB will arrive in Baku in three weeks to discuss a credit with Azerenerji has already been made, said Mr., Babayev.
