(autoinsidernews) - With the new MINI already on sale in the U.K. and the MINI Clubman on its way, BMW is considering adding a crossover version of Clubman, according to the U.K.'s AutoExpress. If production of the all-wheel drive MINI crossover is approved, it will likely arrive in showrooms for the 2010 model year. The all-wheel drive MINI will use a compact intelligent' transmission system and a flexible funky interior, reports Trend.
A BMW insider told the magazine there is a strong business case for the crossover variant. And BMW director Dr. Michael Ganal, sales and marketing boss for MINI, has hinted at both a pick-up and other options. The other option is thought to be a potential pick-up variant.
