Russian auto giant KAMAZ OJSC has put forward new proposals on a project of the installation of the truck assembling line in Azerbaijan, a source in the Azerbaijan Cabinet of Ministers told Trend.
We can not agree with the conditions the Russian party is proposing to us now. They suggest installing the assembling line, but we disagree. The negotiations will be continued. If KAMAZ does not want to loose the market, then the Company should reconsider the proposal, otherwise we shall search for other alternatives, said the source in the Cabinet of Ministers.
Azerbaijan is ready to give privileges needed for organizing business. The Russian party is proposing to introduce conditions to satisfy its own interests to install the assembling line in Azerbaijan. The Cabinet of Ministers denied making them public
KAMAZ is about to organize a separate assembling line without Azerbaijani Company Az Motors Co Ltd. The Azerbaijani Company has been the official dealer of KAMAZ. They organized assembling line and sold KAMAZ trucks before. The moment the cooperation was launched, 250 trucks have been assembled. Previously, the Company delivered 80 lorries per year. Present, it delivers the same volume of trucks per month.
