A regular action on improving the ecological situation of the Garadagh District was held within the participation of Garadagh Cement OJSC, the International Red Crescent Committee, Public Organization Volunteer Library, The Executive Power of the District, and inhabitants of the Sahil settlement of the Garadagh District of Azerbaijan, Trend reports referring to Garadagh Cement.
The action of green vegetation planting at the territory around the Plant has been held for 4 years. Over the last four years 3.000 trees have been planted.
During the current action more than 1,000 trees were planted. The total number of trees around the Plant has increased to 4,000.
In 2004-2005, Garadagh Cement implemented such projects as:
- Installation of cleansing filters
-Finding alternative fuel
-Obtaining Certificate Д°SO 14001:2004
