The Finance Minister of Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov, said that Azerbaijan hopes, by the end of this year, to receive the new rating of the International Rating Agency Fitch, Trend reports.
According to him, next month he will hold negotiations in London with the representatives of the Agency on accelerating the presentation of the rating. The rating will allow emitting Eurobonds in 2007.
We would like to receive investment credit rating, but it does not depend on us only, the Minister said.
The sovereign rating of Moody Investor Services announced on September 14 for Azerbaijan is one decree higher than rating of Fitch Ratings and one decree lower than their investment level.
