J.P.Morgan, BCP Securities, Bear Stearns, Greylock Capital Management and other internationally-known leading investment companies are showing their interest to joint financing with AIC (Azerbaijan Investment Company) in projects, Trend reports referring to a message spread by AIC.
The meetings with the foreign investments will be held within the visit of Anar Akhundov, Executive Director of AIC to USA.
The main aim of the visit was informing about the potential of the development of Azerbaijan economy, favorable investment atmosphere in the country, as well as the development of the investor network to attract investments to the non-oil sector of the economy of the country.
During the meetings with the investors, Mr. Akhundov informed the foreign entrepreneurs about the general economic situation, macroeconomic policy in the country, informed them with the state support to the development of the small and medium enterprises. He gave them an example of the founding AIC in order to encourage investments to the non-oil sector of the Azerbaijan economy.
The Head of AIC also held discussions on the topics dedicated to Azerbaijan investment capabilities, continuation of cooperation in this direction. He came to an agreement with the investors that they would be constantly provided with possibilities of co-financing with AIC.
Mr. Akhundov took part in a conference dedicated to investment possibilities and perspectives of the Azerbaijan financial sector, which had been organized by AZPROMO (Azerbaijan Export and Investments Encouragement Fund).
