In January-October, 2006, totally 22,000 passenger cars were imported to Azerbaijan, Trend reports. According to the date of the State Statistics Committee, the total cost of all the passenger cars delivered to the country in this period reached $160 mln. and 270,5 thousand. In the reporting period, the Country imported 3,9% of passenger cars less versus the corresponding period of 2005 (January-October , 2005). However, the total value of the cars delivered to the country in this year exceeds the last year figure by 29,5%.
In January-October, 2006, 5,417 lorries amounting to $56 mln. and 752,6 thousand were delivered to the country. The number of the cars imported to the country over the ten month of 2006 is by 3,6% less against the correspond indicator of the last year. However, this year indicator exceeds the last year one in its value by 57,3%.
Over January-October, 2006, Azerbaijan imported 295 buses at the cost of $6 mln. and 94 thousand. The number of the cars the country imported over the ten months of the year is by 7,8% less versus the corresponding indicator from the last year. The cost is by 23,3% less versus the last year.
