Azerbaijan Initiated Committee for Turkish Investors

Within the meeting of the Azerbaijani-Turkish Business Council, Azerbaijan offered to create a joint committee, Trend reports. On December 19, the Azerbaijan Minister of Industry and Energy, Natig Aliyev, said that the Turkish investors may submit proposals to the Committee. According to him, the investment projects received by the country will be firstly considered in the Committee and then will be submitted to the Government, adding that it will be the confirmation of the seriousness of the projects.

The Turkish Minister of Trade and Industry, Ali Joshgun, supported this initiative, noting that the first meeting of the Committee may take place in six months, which will analyze its activities.

According to the Turkish Minister, the next Azerbaijan-Turkish business-forum may take place.

The gross amount of the Turkish investments into Azerbaijan economy is $2,5 bln.
