(autoinsidernews) - Frank Rinderknecht and the folks over at Rinspeed are celebrating their 30th Anniversary with a glass car' made from plastic called the eXasis.
The eXasis constructed out of translucent high-tech plastic and features tandem seating.
The car is powered by a 150 horsepower, supercharged two-cylinder 750-cc engine which burns Bioethanol, and at only 750 kilograms (about 1650 pounds), the power-to-weight ratio is in high-end sports car territory so it should be a screamer, reports Trend.
Rinspeed says the transparency symbolizes the development process and seeing through the skin provides a closer look at the thoughts, ideas, engineering, and imagination that went into its development. Personally, we want to see the road the race under our feet.
