The Azerbaijan Transport Ministry is viewing proposals on the implementation of the construction of an express-which have been put forward by Korean, French, and Japanese companies. Ziya Mammadov, Azerbaijan Transport Minister, told Trend that concrete works were being carried out with a Korean company in this issue.
The installation of the express train is envisaged within the project on improving the railway infrastructure from Baku to Boyuk-Kasik-Georgian border. Within the technical aid of JBIC (Japanese Bank for International Cooperation), Itochu Corporation of Japan is engaged in preparing a feasibility study of the project. The amount of the technical is $250.000-280.000.
