The State Property Committee continues holding auctions on selling state-run enterprises and facilities to involve different stratus of the society to take part in the privatization process.
Trend reports referring to a message being spread by the Committee today, that the State Body has already organized first auctions in 2007. Shares of 69 joint-stock companies engaged in different activity (transport, services, construction, poultry farming, weaving) were placed at an auction held on January 9, 2007.
Auctions on selling a number of small-scale state-controlled entertainments and facilities based in towns and districts of the country were held.
The auctions held covered enterprises and facilities based in Baku City suburbs (Binagadi, Yasamal, Garadagh, Narimanov), Ganja City, Sumgayit City, as well as Ali-Bayramli, Lankaran, Balakan, and Samukh.
