Volumes of Credit Deals at BSEX Exceeded Corresponding Figure of 2005

74 deals to the total sum of 32,994 mln. AZN were concluded in the currency section of BSEX (Baku Stock Exchange) in 2006. Trendreports referring to a press-release spread by BSEX, that over 47,3% out of the indicated volume fall at interbank credits granted in AZN.

On the whole, the volumes of deals in 2006 turned out to be in 3,4 times more against the corresponding indicator of 2005. In the Organized Interbank Credit Market (OICM) organized within BEST (Bourse E-System of Trades), the average rate of borrowings of the banks on the manat instruments reached 13,5156%, 12,6781% - on dollar credits. At the same time, the term of interbank crediting in AZN was 48 days, while the credits in EUR and USD were equal to 42 days. According to the data on December 30, 2006, the averaged rate on placing 90-day credits (BakIBOR вЂ" Baku Interbank Offered Rate), which is counted by the Stock on the basis of applications by market-makers of OICM made up 15,59% per annum in manats, and 15,77% per annum in USD.

As compared with the indicator to the end of December, 2005, the index of BakIBOR on manat credits raised on 0,54 percent points, and 0,43 ones вЂ" in USD.
