2008 BMW M5 Touring not coming to the States

(autoinsidernews) - BMW North America has said there are no plans to import the new 2008 BMW M5 Touring to the United States, according to AutoWeek.

The 2008 BMW M5 Touring is powered by the same 500-hp 5.0L V10 engine as the M5 sedan, and with subtle changes to the wagon's suspension, it offers similar performance to its sedan sibling. In fact, it is just as fast around the Nurburgring, reports Trend.

It's not the first time a BMW performance wagon was not brought to the States. In 1992, BMW produced a limited E34 M5 wagon, but none of them were imported to the U.S.
