2,905 bank accounts were opened by the offices and branches of the banks operating on the territory of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan in 2006, Trend Regional Correspondent reports.
In the reporting period, 1,591 legal and 1,314 physical persons, opened their settlement account, and were registered in the Autonomous Republic in 2006. 956 legal people out of the total number and all the physical persons are actively engaged. 1,006 legal and physical people with settlement account did not use banking operations and preferred cash transactions.
In 2006, 183 mln. 782 thousand AZN were issued to the circulation in the Azerbaijan enclave with 54 mln. 751 thousand AZN turning out to be in the banks. The issue was 129 mln. and 30 thousand AZN or 70,2% out of the total cash supply issued to the circulation.
