Agro Leasing Suggests Prolonging Term on Paying Loans on Buying Agricultural Machinery

In 2006, AgroLeasing OJSC bought 2,017 different units of agricultural machinery, a source in the State Agency informed Trend. Among the machinery, there are 250 combines, 500 tractors, 20 excavators, and more than 1,400 units of other agricultural machinery.

Most of the machinery has already been presented to the farmers via branches of the Enterprise in the regions of the country.

An Action Plan is under elaboration, the exact number of machinery to be purchased in 2007 is under determination now, said the source in the State Agency.

The State Enterprise said that the issue on loosening the conditions on presenting agricultural machinery bought within the State Agency still remains open. On the basis of the appeals connected with duties on presenting and selling agricultural machinery to be distributed by the State Agency, taking into consideration the financial situation with farmers in the regions, the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry jointly with AgroLeasing prepared proposals which have been submitted to the Government for further consideration.

The Prolongation of the term on paying at buying machinery from the existing 5 years to 10 ones is considered expedient.

AgroLeasing OJSC was established on October 23, 2004 in accordance with the order of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev. The activity of the enterprise is intended to improve the agricultural sphere and maintaining the entrepreneurship in the country through introduction of agricultural machinery to local farmers and land owners in the country. Presently, the State Agency has more than 40 agricultural machinery technical service branches in the regions.
