The Road and Transportation Department, Yolnagliyyatservice, of the Azerbaijani Transport Ministry announced a pre-qualification tender on the project on improvement of the East-West automobile route.
The Transport Ministry informed Trend the tender was divided into lots: the reconstruction of a road to bypass Ganja and the reconstruction of the Gazakh-Georgian border road. Both projects will be executed at the credit of the Asian Development Bank.
Yolnagliyyatservice intends to hold a pre-qualification tender within the framework of these projects for further contracts вЂ" the reconstruction of the existing 90km long dual carriageway bypass around Ganja with the construction of a water supply pipeline and the construction of three bridges.
The second project envisages the reconstruction of the existing Gazakh-Georgian border dual carriageway route, with further construction of water supply pipelines and the construction of three bridges.
The major tender will be held in the second quarter of 2007. The deadline for applications to the pre-qualification tender is 2 March.
