Millikart LLC Announced Action Plan in 2007

Processing Centre Millikart LLC has completed negotiations on the issue of the migration of its card business from the other processing centre, Azericard, Trend reports. Jalal Orujov, the Executive Director of the Processing Center вЂ" Millikart, has said that the migration of three banks is expected to occur in 2007. However, Mr. Orujov refuted to call the names of the banks due to the complexity in the process. Last year, it was only UniBank, which transferred its business to Milikart. This Centre also intends to extend the list of banks served in Millikart from the existing 11 banks to 20. The two banks are expected to be included to each of the payment system - Visa and MasterCard. The number of cards issued via Millikart is proposed to be extended up to 150 000-200.000 till the end of the year. The infrastructure of the centre will be extended up to 200 ATMs and 500 POS-terminals. Introduction of a new service on transferring means from one card to another is one of the plans of the centre for
2007. At the same time, Mr. Orujov noted that there will be an opportunity to perform transfers not only to the cards serviced in Milikart, but al members of the payments systems - Visa and MasterCard. The Centre has also plans to introduce ATMs, which accept cash, i.e. every subscriber, not coming to the bank, may pay , for example, an interest rate on the credit that for its part, will reduce operational expenses of the banks. Presently, works on new banknotes recognition entry are being carried out. Milllikart is expected to be the first that introduce this service. The works are expected to be completed till the end of the first quarter of 2007.
