A Flight Delayed Due to Detection of a Shooter in a Passenger Hand Luggage

A Russian citizen of Georgian origin has been detained in the Baku Heydar Aliyev International Airport today. It is reported that a gas pistol, a magazine and gas-cylinders were found with him. A source in the State Concern AZAL informed Trend that the detained person turned out to be a Russian citizen, Imeda Davievich Rokhvadze, born in 1974.

He arrived to Baku from Moscow yesterday. He was planning to depart for Tbilisi by transit today. According to the source in AZAL, security officers of the Baku Airport detected weapon in his hand luggage. As soon as he was detained, all 65 passengers of the Tu-134 airplane, which was to fly to Tbilisi, were checked up again. Presently, the limit for landing of the airplane from Baku in the Tbilisi International Airport is not available. The plain is expected to fly away to Tbilisi at 17:00 Baku local time. As the sources in AZAL informed, the passenger arrived to Baku from the Moscow Domodedovo International Airport, and it is unknown yet why the security service of the Airport did not detain the passenger with weapons flying to Baku.
