The State Labor Inspection of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Labor and Social Security has publicized a plan of action the for 2007.
Nabi Shukurov, the Inspection Head informed Trend of plans to gain experience from the relevant bodies of other countries. The international experience can be studied with the co-operation of the International Labor Organization and its Moscow Office. Shukurov hopes for Azerbaijan's admission to the World Association of Labor Inspections.
There are plans to restore activities of the socio-medical control labor security sector, cancelled in 2005. The local inspection bodies will be connected to a unified global network internet in 2007-2008, which is currently being established by the Ministry.
With respect to expansion of research into occupational disorders, there are plans to set up contacts with the Health Ministry to ensure the participation of the State Labor Inspection, Mr. Shukurov stated. The implementation of these measures requires the strengthening of the logistics of the Inspection and its divisions.
