The second monitoring in 2007 did not reveal the existence of the bird flu in Azerbaijan, Trend reports with reference to State Veterinary Service of the Azerbaijan Agriculture Ministry.
Monitoring held by the specialists of the Veterinary Service, Ecology, Natural Resources and Health Ministries, as well as representatives of the Hunter Community concluded on February 10, 2007 during which samples were taken from pathologic material of the wild birds and blood samples of the wild birds, pathologic samples of domestic birds and blood samples of the poultry enterprises.
No analyses showed the existence of bird flu, the same source said. The next monitoring will begin on February 12, 2007.
