Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The President of Baku Steel Company (BSC), Ali Askeri, stated that the Company aims to avoid reducing personnel due to the difficulties it is experiencing in the prodution which is linked with the necessary raw materials.
According to him, the key reason for the resumption of production at the beginning of February was to avoid financial difficulties linked with the high salaries for employees (more than 2,000) added to which are the expenditures for the energy carriers.
Presently the Company produces 600-800 tons of raw materials instead of the design capacity of 1,400 tons. The Company does have raw material at present which is only adequate for continuing production until the end of March.
"Our key goal is to avoid a reduction in personnel which may result in terminating the production again," he said.
