Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The Deputy Transport Minister of Azerbaijan, Musa Panahov, said that the Transport Ministry of Azerbaijan is ready to create conditions for the private companies wishing to bring buses to the country to carry out passenger transportation in accordance with international standards. According to him, new types of the buses are planned to be brought in the future and private business people may be involved in this process.
According to him, 1,000 buses of large capacity will be delivered to the Azerbaijan Company Transgate on the base of the contract signed with the South Korean Car Manufacturer Daewoo on February 22 in Baku . The demand of Azerbaijan for buses is 800 buses of large capacity and 200 of small capacity. The Daewoo buses will firstly be used in Baku .
To renew the transportation system, the Transport Ministry intends to work out the rules which also include issuing tickets in the future.
