Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. I. Khalilova/ The Azerbaijani Economic Development Minister has fully completed the formation of a new office. Heydar Babayev, Azerbaijan's Economic Development Minister, has said that it was just the removal of imbalance in the fulfillment of obligations that was the key aim in improving the structure of the Ministry, Trend reports.
The change in structure of the Ministry was in accordance with a new regulation approved by the Presidential Decree on Measures to Be Taken to Improve the Activity of the Economic Development Ministry on 29 December 2006.
According to it, two state services have been founded under the Ministry: the Anti-monopoly State Service and the State Service for the Control over the Consumer Market. These functions had been the prerogative of the Ministry even prior to the new foundations. The Entrepreneurship Development Department will become a department of the Ministry like all other departments. Furthermore, the Azerbaijani Scientific and Research Institute, Institute for Scientific, Technical Information and Technical Research and the Centre for Economic Reforms of the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry were broken up. The Scientific and Research Institute for Economic Reforms of the Economic Ministry has been formed on the basis of them.
