Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend I.Khalilova / The Azerbaijan Labor Ministry intends to halt the construction of facilities, if security guidelines are violated.
Nabi Shukurlu, Head of State Labor Inspectorate at the Ministry, informed on 2 March that the Inspectorate will set up check ups next week with respect to reveal professional relationships between the workers and employers.
The monitoring will be carried out into normal working conditions and provision of medical examination, he said.
In 2006 some 246 incidents were fixed construction work, which killed 80 people and injured over 190 people. Investigation revealed that companies were guilty in 24 cases, the injured - in 74 cases, company and the injured in 133 cases and other factors in 15 cases.
