Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr S. Aliyev / Sadraddin Mammadov, the Head of the Transport Policy and Economy Department of the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan, has told that the Ministry will complete the preparation for the Programme on Transport Infrastructure Development of Baku by 19 March.
The construction of 18 overpasses and pedestrian crossings, completion of construction work of the circumferential road #1 and starting construction of the circumferential road #2 in Baku have been proposed for the implementation..
The Programme provides the extension of the road linking Mashadi Azizbeyov underground station and the International Airport of Baku.
The Programme is being implemented in accordance with the Decree of the Azerbaijani President and considered to be implemented within 2006-2007. The Ministry of Transport intends to extend the existing Programme.
