Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend E.Huseynli/ On 15 March a fleet of buses produced in China have arrived in Baku. The buses will be used for passenger transportation in Baku. The buses have been delivered to Baku by Nihad Motors LLC.
The President of Nihad Motors LLC, Nazim Guliyev, stated that 10 buses have been delivered for the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan. At the end of March, they will be launched on urban routes No. 145 and 20.
According to Guliyev, they have been approved by the Ministry of Transport and 150 more buses will be sent to Baku in May. By August the number of buses will be increased to 500. In addition, Guliyev said that if negotiations are successful with the Chinese company, the buses will be assembled in Baku in the future.
The Director of the Central Dispatching Service, Passenger Transport of Baku LLC, Etibar Aliyev, said that it needs to acquire 2,500-3,000 buses to resolve Baku's transport problem.
