Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr I.Khalilova / In February 2007, the growth rate of prices on consumer goods and tariffs on services went up by 1.5% as compared to January 2006. The National Bank of Azerbaijan informed during this period, the price on food products increased by 1.7%, non-food products - 1.3% and tariffs on services by 1.3%.
The bakery prices rose by 1.3%, meat by 0.8%, fish - 2.1%, vegetables by 4.4%, fruits - 9.4%, mineral water and soft drinks - 0.4%, sugar and confectionary - 0.7%, oils and fats - 1.2%, beer - 0.6%, tobacco - 0.6%, spirits - 0.2%. Meanwhile, prices of diary products, cheese and eggs fell by 2.3%.
The annual rise of inflation made up 16.7% as compared to last year. During this period, the price on food products increased by 17.8%, non-food products - 15.3% and tariffs on services by 23%.
Prices of consumer goods and tariffs for services rose 16.5% as compared to last year. Foodstuff prices increased 16.8%, non-food products - 16% and services- 23.8%.
