Azerbaijan, Baku /corr Trend S.Babayeva / In January to March 2007 the output of metallurgy enterprises in Azerbaijan rose 1.1% compared to last year's figures. The State Statistics Committee reported that 49.8% of the total output fell on the private sector.

In January to February 2007 a total of 11,938 people were invested in this sector, 11.6% more than 2006. the average salary rose 15.7% and made up AZN 240.
