Azerbaijani-Russian Centre for Teaching Innovation Activity to Be Founded in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend , corr. I. Khalilova/ Yuriy Schedrin, the Russian Trade Representative to Azerbaijan, has said today that changing the date of holding the eleventh meeting of the Azerbaijani-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation has adjourned the foundation a Centre for Teaching and Training Innovation Activity to be established in Baku.

According to him, this decision must be reflected in the protocol to be signed by the Intergovernmental Commission. The meeting of this Intergovernmental Committee was scheduled to April 24, but has been postponed due to some technical reasons. The event is likely to be held in September-October, 2007.

Mr. Schedrin is confident that the agreement reached between the two countries on the installation of the mentioned centre will be put into practice until the end of 2007. The Centre is expected to be organized on the basis of the Baku existing Innovation Centre under the assistance of Russia's leading educational agencies, including the Russian Higher Economics School. "The system of teaching and training in the forthcoming centre will be based on both high-educational and virtual technologies," considers the Russian Trade Representative to Azerbaijan.
