Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. U. Ismayilova/ Aliya Azimova, the IFC Representative to Azerbaijan, has stated today that the International Finance Corporation (IFC) has continued to implement the project offering technical assistance within the Leasing Financing Fund in Azerbaijan and Central Asia (IFC PEP). The Project "Leasing in Azerbaijan and Middle Asia" covers two important components, namely technical support and finance.
The Project of Technical Assistance within the Leasing Financing Fund in Azerbaijan and Central Asia (IFC PEP) under the financial support of SECO ( Switzerland's State Economic Issues Secretariat) has been launched in Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The programme is based upon the experience and achievements of corresponding projects to develop IFC leasing in the region under SECO's financing. The objective of the project is to assist in the development of leasing in these countries through:
- strengthening the financial institutions participating in the project;
- improving the automated management system within the institutions participating in the project;
- making necessary alterations in the leasing of legislative base in the countries which participate in the project.
