Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. S. Babayeva/ Azerbaijan's largest metallurgical enterprise - Baku Steel Company (BSC) is presently doing its best to avert suspension of the plant due to the lack of scrap metal needed to keep the output going.
Ali Asgari, the Vice-President of BSC, said today that the BSC plant currently receives up to 1,000 tons a day of the required 1,400 tons per day.
Touching upon further production at the Enterprise, Mr Asgari said that it would be difficult to forecast any concrete volume of output in the existing circumstances.
The number of employees of BSC presently makes up 1,850, and in the BSC's Vice-President's opinion, the company is taking all necessary measures to avoid layoffs.
