Chairman of   State  Lands and Cartography Committee Says Those Citizens Who Forcibly Expelled from Illegally Seized Lands Will Receive No Compensation

Azerbaijan, Baku/ Trend , corr. I. Alizadeh/ Garib Mammadov, the Chairman of the State Lands and Cartography Committee, has said that Azerbaijani Municipalities are engaged in illegal selling the lands, which are in the state reserve.

He noted that the lands being sold not to belong to Municipalities, and therefore, the State Committee does not present technical certificates and passports to those who buy these lands.

"Azerbaijani citizens consider illegal orders made by Municipalities as valid documents. However, we do not present technical certificates and passports on the basis of such documents. Corresponding measures will be applied toward those who present such documents," added Mr. Mammadov.

According to him, in accordance with the existing legislation, state-owned lands cannot be a subject of sale.

The Chairman of the Committee said that this issue was being investigated, and then necessary information will be submitted to the corresponding offices and agencies.

Mr. Mammadov also added that those who had been forcibly expelled from illegally seized lands would receive no compensation.
