Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia / The Azerbaijani, Georgian, and Kazakhstan Ministers of Transport held a closed meeting in Tbilisi, Georgia on 24 May. A source at the Georgian Ministry of Economy, which initiated the meeting, reported on 23 May that the meeting focusing on the technical aspects of the Baku-Tblisi-Kars railway, swould be unofficial.
The Ministry and the Georgian Railway Service would not even release the meeting's venue.
A source at the Azerbaijani Railway Service said on 24 May that the technical issues of the project on opening of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway service, trans-shipment via the Caspian Sea, and other fields of cooperation were under discussion.
