Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend I.Khalilova / The Cabinet of Ministers has fixed the excise rates for cars, sports yachts, yachts used for leisure time as well as different sailing vessels manufactured in Azerbaijan. This will be dependent purely upon the size of the engine.
In accordance with the changes to the Tax Code, the tax rate for automobiles with a 2,000 cu cm engine will be AZN 0.15 per 1 cu cm; a 3,000 cu cm engine will be AZN 300 + AZN 1 per 1 cu cm for the capacity over 2,000 cu m; a 4,000 cu cm engine will be AZN 1,300 + AZN 2 per cu cm for the capacity over 3,000 cu cm; any engine over 4,000 cu cm will be AZN 3,300 + AZN 4 per cu cm for the capacity.
The excise rates for transport conveyances have been effective since 1 January 2007.
