Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend / The realization of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project was discussed on 8 June at the meeting of Azerbaijan's State Commission on the Project, the Transport Ministry informs.
The meeting focused on the Regulation of the Co-ordination Council and Management Group on the construction of the section of the railway from Mardaba (Georgia) to the border with Turkey.
In addition, debates were organized on the development, problems, current situation of the infrastructure on the railways from Baku to the Georgian border, which assumes great importance for the project that is part of TRACECA corridor.
It was decided to hold a new meeting next week.
The State Commission was created according to the Presidential decree dated 21 February 2007.
