Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend A.Ismaylova / The results of the tender on the construction of a new steel plant in Azerbaijan's city of Ganja will be announced next week.
The Vice President of Azerbaijani AsGroup Company, which participates in the bid, Nushiravan Jalilov , said that the tender is also attended by three Turkish companies and one German company.
According to him, the construction of the plant will last one and a half years. Some $65 mln will be spent during the first stage. The enterprise will be able to produce 700.000 tons of metal annually. The investor for the plan is the British Detal Company.
Jalilov said that in addition, the construction of the Ganja aluminum plant will begin this year. Nearly $250 mln will be spent on the construction of the plant. The construction will take approximately eighteen years.
