Georgia, Tbilisi / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia / The Azerbaijani company Embawood will begin production of domestic and office furniture in Georgia. According to the marketing manager of Embawood, which participated in the 4th international construction exhibition of 'Georgia Build 2007' in Tbilisi, Ilkin Manafov, the producing enterprise of the company will be located in the settlement of Ponichala in Tbilisi, populated mainly by Azerbaijanis. According to preliminary data, the new enterprise will provide 200 people with jobs.
Embawood has intentions to produce furniture from various woods using laminated particle boards. The production will be intended mainly for the middle classes of the Georgian population.
Embawood was founded in Azerbaijan in 1996. Official representative offices of the company function in Georgia ( Tbilisi), Russia ( Moscow) and Kazakhstan (Almaty).
There are many furniture producing workshops in Georgia at a European level of production. However, there is no serious enterprise such as a plant.
