Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani Labour and Social Population Protection Ministry held a labor fair in the Dashkesan region of Azerbaijan.
The ministry reported that some ninety-six individuals were appointed jobs as a result from the fairs. Some twenty-two organizations, which offered 366 vacancies, took part in these measures.
From the beginning of 2007 the Labour Ministry held labour fairs within the twelve cities and regions of Azerbaijan, including the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan (NAR). Some 955 individuals were appointed to jobs.
Some 113 people were sent to preparatory courses, 120- to paid public jobs. The number of companies-participators at fairs made up 441, and some 3,948 vacancies were offered by them.
In 2006 the Ministry held over forty fairs in different Azerbaijani regions, as well as in the NAR. As a result over 7,008 individuals were appointed to new jobs.
