Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismatlova / The Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan does not rule out the possibility to complete all works on the country's entry to the World Trade Organization (WTO) by the end of 2008.
"If Azerbaijan works at such a rate, I do not rule out that by the end of next year, we will complete all work necessary for entry to the WTO," said the Head of the Ministry's Department on Entrance to WTO, Adalat Muradov, on 29 June during the 1st Russian-Azerbaijani international commercial and economic conference. Presently Azerbaijan, which joined WTO as an observer, expects the fifth round of multilateral talks on full membership.
Muradov highlighted the importance of reaching an agreement with the United Arab Emirates on preparation to sign protocol on completion of talks. Currently talks have been fully completed with Oman, Georgia, Moldova and Turkey.
