Azerbaijan, Baku / corr. Trend S.Babayev / The State Veterinary Service at the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry denies the media reports on infection disease among cattle, particularly in the private 'Orkhan' farm in Siyazan region of Azerbaijan. Specialists of the Veterinary Service held examination.
Examination revealed that the main reason for forced slaughter of 200 cattle was parasitic disease, but not infection.
The State Service reported that the reason for spread of disease was bad conditions for cattle in the 'Orkhan' farm, which do not meet veterinary-sanitary standards. Moreover, there are favorable climatic conditions in the region for reproduction of ticks.
The farms should take all measures in this respect. Presently, preventive measures are held in farms to prevent spread of the disease.
