Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Azerbaijani State Committee on Land and Cartography selected Turkish Central Cartography Department as a trusted partner for designing of land-survey and airphotos, the Chairman of the State Committee, Garib Mammadov. The events will be held within the framework of an agreement that has been already signed.
"Given state secret, the Turkish side was selected the only trusted partner in designing of land-survey of the whole country. Airphotos will be taken from special helicopters. We do not have the helicopters. So, we signed an agreement with Turkish companies on supply of the helicopters. After taking of cosmic photos we will precise them with help of land control units," Mammadov said.
Designing of land-survey will be held within the framework of the World Bank's project on registration of real estate in Azerbaijan. Cost of the project makes up $38.57mln, with $30mln allote by the WB as a credit.
According to Mammadov, $13mln is intended for implementation of the events of the State Committee, which are designing of land-survey, airphotos, and cartography. Navigation system is also planned to be established within a year of two.
As it was reported by Mammadov, units for map projection are being established. They will be 40.
The project will cover all Azerbaijani territory and by the end of its implementation all available information on location of real estate and the right to real estate will be included into a single automated system.
