AZPROMO’s Supervisory Board Suggests Increase of Membership Fees for Trustees

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / The first away meeting of the Trustee Council of Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Fund (AZPROMO) will be held by the end of July in Azerbaijani Lankaran region, the Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Chingiz Asadullayev, reported on 5 July.

"Previously it was planned to hold the meeting on 16 June. Now there is no sense in postponing it, as we have certain solutions to be announced at the meeting of the AZPROMO Trustee Council," Asadullayev said. Among the issues to be viewed at the meeting is admission of new members, change of the budget fund, and correction of the arrangement plan. "Moreover, I announced necessity in increase of membership fees for AZPROMO members, as the matters to be resolved require money," Asadullayev noted.

At present membership fees make up AZN 2.5mln. AZPROMO has 92 members. Permanent members of the fund, including several representatives of private sector, should annually pay the fees, except of state bodies.

Corrected plan of arrangements for 2007, which was considered by the Supervisory Board on 26 May, will be approved at the meeting.

By the end of 2007, it is planned to hold some 7-8 marketing researches, 60 trade missions and conferences, and 10 exhibitions.
