Kazakhstan, Astana / corr Trend K.Arinova / Loran Rusetzskas, Development Manager for Investment company Greenoak, a co-owner of Batumi oil terminal, said that the situation with cargo deliveries to the Batumi terminal remains unchanged without any obvious positive changes: the cargo is delivered in the Iranian and Russian route.

Media reports during the spring season published statements by Rusetzskas had urged that the Batumi terminal was at a deficit due to loss of dividends in the amount of $1mln. The main reason is the loss of essential volumes of cargo. This was linked with the increase of transport expenses for the Baku - Batumi route, which made it necessary for cargo deliverers to use other routes. "We hope that the working group which comprises of representatives from the governments of three countries, namely Kazakhstan, Georgia and Azerbaijan, will come to a constructive decision," Rusetzkas said.
