Chichakli Hydroelectric Power Station Put on Investment Competition

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr I. Khalilova / Azerbaijan State Committee on State Property Management goes on with the arrangements on efficient privatization of six small hydroelectric stations that are still in state property (total of 9), according to the State Committee. Sheki, Zagatala, and Gusar stations have been already privatized, and another two stations in Guba, one in Gusar, Sabirabad, Shamkir, and Khanlar have been put for privatization.

State Committee put 94.33% of the stocks of Chichakli hydroelectric power station situated in Khanlar region for investment competition. Key priority will be given to an investor who will offer maximum investments, efficient placement, as well as having advanced experience in production and sale of electric energy.

The offers should stipulate for assignments to the public budget in the sum of AZN 100,000 and transfer of 4,000 privatization options to the State Committee for clearing off. I order to prove seriousness of intentions an investor should submit a guarantee letter of any bank in the sum of AZN 30,000.

The investment proposals will be accepted by 15 August and will be assessed on 17 August.

As of 1 July 2007, the authorized capital of Chchekly station amounted to AZN 55 368. The station was put into operation in 1928. The design capacity of the station is 2760 KWt per year. The personnel of the station comprises of nine employees.

As of 1 July, the debts of the station amounted to AZN 4276 which have arisen from salaries. The station has not notes payable.
